Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

As I look back at the past few months of unprecedented circs,

Deciphering the irony of life and its quirks.

I precariously ran the gauntlet of shattering dreams,

Lying ahead of the world was the menace of extremes.

Caged in the widespread silence, seeking for a ray of hope,

Left with dwindling optimism to cope.

As I wished to rewind time, to the life so smooth,

And get myself to unravel the imminent truth.

For days I wondered when to awaken from this ordeal,

Full well I knew it’d take time to heal.

There’s the odour of yesterday to wriggle through. 

This too shall pass, while the future holds much more to look forward to.

From the gloom, I lead myself astray,

Breathing in the spirit, the charm of today.

I unlocked the shackles to overcome this one,

To take on each day with zeal and abandon.

Time shall assemble the fragmented pieces of life,

Here's to overcoming the darkness - so rife!

Redefining Life

Golly! Did I wait for the freedom that sways. 

Exhilarated, my eyes were ablaze. 

Fulfilling where my contentment lies in. 

Heading out aimlessly for the horizon.

Sans any concrete jungle worries,

Leaving behind the times of turmoil & furies.

I only knew the charm of the sparkling skies,

Yet counterfeit, but grew all old & wise.

I looked out for the magnificent twilight,

Mesmerised by the sky that shone all bright.

The hues of lights that coalesced. 

The sheer sight, with what I was blessed. 

The liberation from the shackles of the world did I rejoice, 

Eureka! Reverberated my inner voice.

I’ve been longing to fulfil my endeavour.

This redefined life, for now & forever.
